III International Scientific Conference COLOUR-CULTURE-SCIENCE

On behalf of the organizers we invite you to take part in the third interdisciplinary meeting for designers, scientists and artists in the cycle “Colour Day”, titled “Colour-Culture¬Science”, which is going to take place in Kraków from 23rd to 24th November 2016.
The goal of the organizers is to create a forum to discuss the current state of knowledge, scientific research, artistic and design achievements relating to science and the art of color.
The international scope of the conference will allow an easier global look on these issues and make an exchange of the participants’ reflections, observations and experiences possible.
With the date of the COLOUR-CULTURE-SCIENCE conference drawing near, we encourage you to make yourselves familiar with the detailed conference programme.
As a part of 4 conference sessions, 33 lectures are scheduled to take place. The lecturers, coming from several different countries, are highly qualified specialists whose scientific, design and artistic activity is connected to various aspects of science and art of colour. The conference will be held in English, however, all lectures will also be simultaneously interpreted into Polish.
The keynote speakers who will be taking part in the conference are: prof. Lindsay MacDonald of University College London, Janet Best – an international authority on global fashion colour management, Francisca Valan from Milan – a famous industrial designer specialized in the use of colour and Larissa Noury President-Founder of ‘Colour-Space-Culture’ International Association.
The conference will take place in the historical location of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. We invite you to join through signing up on the online conference page. The number of places is limited.
